Visting Artist: Kathleen Browne

Visiting Artist came in today. And happily gave me her thoughts or two on my body of work. While I may not be too terribly fond of her own work (a bit too wearable for my taste), I honestly loved her conversation during my studio visit. She (in very polite words) told me my work sucked. But not in the, "Oh, how rude!" way you might be thinking. But more in a manner that made me realize that yes, everyone in Jewelry at some point in time works with silicone, polyester resin, and hair, but that if I'm going to work with these materials, I needed to own it and push it until it couldn't be pushed any farther.
