Return from Penland

It's been just a few days since I returned from Penland in North Carolina and I'm still in awe of all the talent and the scenery.

(For those of you who were not aware, I was awarded a work-study scholarship to study at the Penland School of Crafts for a two week class with Kat Cole.)

I can't wait to get back into the studio and get to work, but I know there are other just as important things to take care of... like developing a webpage, hunting down boutiques willing to sell my work, getting a business license/sellers permit... In short, I've realized that it's about time for me to stop spending *all* my time in the studio, and start spending a little time making connections and putting myself out there. Oh yea, and grad school stuffs. Can't forget about grad school stuffs.

p.s. Penland is Magical. Playing double dutch in the blacksmithing studio, drinking with the instructors, beach parties in the rain, working and having fun with crazy talented artists is definitely... the. best.
